Key Media LLC was founded in late 2017 when Owner Michelle Key purchased the Opelika Observer. Key is an Alabama native and has lived in Opelika since 2011. She had worked with The Observer for three years before taking on the lead roles as owner and publisher. Key believes in the mission of The Observer, which is to provide quality, local news and information to thepeople of Lee County.
